About Me

My name is Tracy Musgrove. I am the mother of 6 very special children. I have lived in southeast Texas all of my life with the exception of 2 years spent in Colorado Springs.  I had always been interested in pregnancy and birth, but it was there that I decided to become a doula.  I began my doula work in 2001 and worked primarily with military wives.

After taking some time off in 2002 following the birth on my oldest son, I decided to jump back in with my studies. In 2005, shortly after the birth of my second son, I found Childbirth International. I joined with CBI as a doula student and a student of childbirth education. My official doula certification was complete on February 14, 2007, and my Childbirth Education certification was completed on February 29, 2008.

I have decided to pursue midwifery training but that will have to wait until my children are older.  While I feel that birth should be a "hands off" event when things are not complicated, it does not stop me from supporting women who choose to do things differently than I would.  I have a variety of personal birth experiences myself, and support each woman being able to make their own choices and decisions regarding their birth.
