I am once again booking clients begining with those due no earlier than May. I will soon be listing dates for a group childbirth education class series. I am, as always, accepting private childbirth education clients.
Doula Service Options
There are several doula options for you to choose from. They smallest is the Out-of-Area plan, where I offer you phone and e-mail support throughout your pregnancy and early labor, giving you the chance to explore your birth options, as well as receive one on one education regarding pregnancy and birth choices.
There is a mid-range option, for those who have used my services before, or who are planning a homebirth where they are confidant in their ability to achieve their ideal birth. The number of prenatal appointments are reduced, but the level of care during the birth stays the same. It is reccomended that this plan be combined with an childbirth education course if you are a first-time parent.
The highest option is a full package, which includes 3-4 prenatal appointments, the birth, as well as appointments after the birth. This includes full on call services from the point of contract until after the birth. This option also entitles you to a discount in any childbirth education course that I offer. This is the most popular option and is ideal for first-time moms, or those birthing in a hospital setting.

Childbirth Education Options
Many women do not have the option to attend a childbirth education series, or they are shy about taking a hospital series, especially if they are planning an out-of-hospital birth. For these people, I offer a distance learning childbirth education course. It can be done online or on the phone, and it will cover pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I still encourage women to take a class in person, however this is an option for those who do not want to.
For those who are interested in a childbirth class, but who have unique work schedules or would rather not attend a group class, I offer private courses. It is a 10 hour series for you, your partner, and any labor support persons you wish to have. These classes are done in my home or yours, and are tailored to you needs. This is my most popular childbirth education option.
I also offer group sessions, where you have the opportunity to meet other expectant parents. This is a 6 week course, with one class a week, in the evenings.
All of these classes are unlike any other childbirth class offered. They focus on education and skills needed to get you through pregnancy, labor and birth.
